Cary Joji Fukunaga to Direct ‘Bond 25’; Release Date Moved to February 2020

Cary Joji Fukunaga has been announced to direct Bond 25. The official James Bond twitter revealed the news a couple days ago. He replaces Danny Boyle who departed the project late last month. Fukunaga is best known for directing the entire first season of True Detective (winning an Emmy in the process) and 2015’s Beasts of No Nation.

Filming is set to commence at Pinewood Studios in London on March 4, 2019. The release date has been bumped from November 2019 to a new worldwide release date of February 14, 2020; because I know that’s what every girlfriend wants to go see on Valentine’s Day, the new James Bond movie!
