Disney and Pixar releases a new trailer for Coco!

Disney and Pixar has just released a new trailer for their upcoming film Coco! Which is centered around Dia De Los Muertos or Day Of The Dead and takes place in the world of the dead!

Here is the official trailer from Disney and Pixar! I hope you enjoy it! 🙂

Here is the plot synopsis for Disney and Pixar for Coco!

¨Despite his family’s baffling generations-old ban on music, Miguel (voice of newcomer Anthony Gonzalez) dreams of becoming an accomplished musician like his idol, Ernesto de la Cruz (voice of Benjamin Bratt). Desperate to prove his talent, Miguel finds himself in the stunning and colorful Land of the Dead following a mysterious chain of events. Along the way, he meets charming trickster Hector (voice of Gael García Bernal), and together, they set off on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind Miguel’s family history.¨

The trailer starts off with a narrator who talks about the Spanish holiday Day Of The Dead. He says ¨Once every year our ancestors come back to our world to see family and friends! But no living person has ever visited their world until now.¨ We see a shot of a beautiful orange bridge connecting the world of the living to the world of the dead with glowing orange leaves that are human souls that have passed. It looks like a train station as they can only go back once a year. To spend time with their friends and family and even bring gifts for them like food. So sweet!

Just like in the previous trailer. Coco strums his fathers guitar and the orange leaves on the ground grows and Coco gets transported into the world of the dead by becoming a ghost as he phases right through a security guard and no one can see them except the other deceased souls as a lady skeleton screams once she sees Coco! Dante Coco´s perro (Yes I know Spanish I took it in high school.)joins him on his adventure and Coco has no idea where he is until he sees a beautiful city that is the entrance to the world of the dead! This film and the animation is drop dead gorgeous!

We see a shot of a train station where souls can visit the land of the living only on the Day Of The Dead and the trains is a link between both worlds and they can travel back and forth on The Day Of The Dead! Pixar is fantastic at building big and beautiful worlds and this movie is no exception! Coco thinks he is dreaming and that he isn´t a ghost until he bumps into a guy who looses his head. He says do you mind? Then Coco is holding the male skeletons head and they both scream and its very funny!

We have some new footage as 2 skeleton cops open the door to reveal the place to get tickets to get on a train to the land of the living. This place has very advanced technology! It´s called the departments of family reunions as it reunites the deceased ancestors to the family they lived with! This place is very busy as there is a long line to get a ticket. The place reminds me of the New York city subway station and its beautiful! Pixar invites us on a journey that connects us all since we all have relatives who have passed away that we would love to spend more time with if we had a chance to.

One of the female skeletons notices Miguel which is Coco´s real name and wonders how he transferred from the land of the living to the land of the dead and she looks gorgeous and im guessing its one of Miguel´s relatives who passed away. Since she recognizes him. Miguel wonders needs to be reminded of how they know him and the head of the department of family reunions tells Miguel that they are his family and that they are connected to him. We see a shot of Miguel starring at a family picture and notices that his father head has been ripped out since the family hates music thinking it causes bad luck and he was a famous singer.

One of Miguel´s ancestors say that is time to get him back to the land of the living his home and she hands him a glowing orange leaf which is Miguel´s soul and Miguel´s touches it and it cuts to black. We see a huge Bienviendos sign which is goodbye in Spanish.  We then see a ticket taker skeleton say ¨ Welcome! Anything to declare?¨ One of Miguel´s relatives speaks up and says ¨As a matter of fact yes!¨ Miguel relatives reveal that Miguel is a human and he is still alive and the ticket taker skeleton´s jaw literally drops on the floor and it is so funny and made me laugh so hard!

The trailer ends!

This voice cast is fantastic and is mostly of the Spanish decent! Also the music and animation for this film is top notch and beautiful! Im more excited for this film than I am for Cars 3 and thats saying something!

Are you going to see Coco?

Which movie will be the best Pixar movie this year Cars 3 or Coco?

Do you celebrate The Day Of The Dead?

Do you think this is another hit for Pixar?

I think even though the last time Pixar did 2 films the second one was disappointing. I think this year Pixar will have 2 successful films both financially and critically!

This trailer sold me on this film and I´m definitely going to watch it because of the gorgeous animation, great creative stories, and fantastic characters. This looks like another huge hit for Pixar and will get some awards!
