An extended TV spot for Captain Marvel was recently released and it’s the sort of trailer fans had been expecting Marvel to release for a while now.
This trailer outlines the main villain (the Skrulls) and what they do (shapeshift). It also teases the working dynamic between Jude Law’s mystery Kree leader and Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers. It sets up Ronan’s future MCU plan. It also builds the friendship between Danvers and Fury.
And I swear I saw Larson smile in this TV spot, correct me if I’m wrong.
Tickets are now on sale in the U.S., including those for early showings on the night of Thursday, March 7.
What did you think? Did this special look change your mind on the film?
Synopsis: Set in 1995, Captain Marvel follows Carol Danvers, a former U.S. Air Force fighter pilot, as she turns into one of the galaxy’s mightiest heroes and joins Starforce, an elite Kree military team, before returning home with new questions about her past and identity when the Earth is caught in the center of an intergalactic conflict between two alien worlds.
Captain Marvel hits theaters March 8, 2019.
