John Krasinski is Down to Be the MCU’s Mr. Fantastic

Screen Rant recently sat down with John Krasinski for A Quiet Place, and naturally the topic turned to superheroes.

Screen Rant asked Krasinski if his wife, Emily Blunt, and himself would ever consider playing the Invisible Woman and Mr. Fantastic in a potential Fantastic Four film. His response:

“Oh yeah, the Fantastic Four. I would love that! I mean listen, I’m still getting into the whole superhero thing. I didn’t read comics as a kid, not as many, I read some but not as much, but I’m a huge superhero fan so yeah, I’d love to do something like that. If they’re are any left, a lot of these have been taken but the ones that are left, yeah, I would love to do something like that. And listen, I’d love to work with her again so any chance I got would be great.”

Krasinski was in the running for Steve Rogers/Captain America back in 2010, but, as I am sure you know, he did not get that part (blame Chris Evans). On the flip side, Blunt has flirted with the MCU about three times now, being linked to the roles of Black Widow, Peggy Carter, and Captain Marvel (although she claims she was never in the running for the latter).

Personally, having a real life power couple play Mr. Fantastic and Invisible Woman is just want the F4 franchise needs to get me interested. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that Krasinski and Blunt are just down right awesome!

Would you like to see Krasinski and Blunt join the MCU as Mr. Fantastic and Invisible Woman, or do you have other roles in mind for the two?
