LIVE! Day 4 of SDCC 2018: Warner Bros Panel (Trailers for ‘Aquaman’, ‘Shazam!’, ‘Fantastic Beasts’ & ‘Godzilla’)

Yesterday Universal showed off Glass and Halloween while Sony showed off Venom and Into The Spiderverse.

Now it’s WB turn to kill it just like they did last year as 2018-2019 WB is releasing many highly anticipated films.

No predictions let’s get right to the panel!

We are confirmed to get 3 trailers today which are Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald, Aquaman and Godzilla: King Of Monsters. We might even get a teaser trailer for Shazam.

Just like I always say at my job.

Enjoy the show!

Warner Bros SDCC panel starts right now!

Aishia Tyler is your host for this years WB’s SDCC panel.

First up is Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald

Ezra Miller is dressed up as Toadette and Johnny Depp as Grindelwald.

The cast joins the stage to introduce the second trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald.

Here is the new trailer fresh out of SDCC.

Here is the plot synopsis: “At the end of the first film, the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) was captured by MACUSA (Magical Congress of the United States of America), with the help of Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne). But, making good on his threat, Grindelwald escaped custody and has set about gathering followers, most unsuspecting of his true agenda: to raise pure-blood wizards up to rule over all non-magical beings. In an effort to thwart Grindelwald’s plans, Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) enlists his former student Newt Scamander, who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead. Lines are drawn as love and loyalty are tested, even among the truest friends and family, in an increasingly divided wizarding world.”

I thought the first film was entertaining and I’m really interested in what Johnny Depp’s Grindelwald will do next and this is probably going to be the epic set up of Dumbledore’s big and intense battle against Grindelwald for the third film and I can’t wait for it.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald magically appears into theaters and IMAX on November 17th.

Next up is The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part

Phil Lord and the cast joins the stage to talk about the movie and show some exclusive footage to people at the panel.

The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part builds into theaters on February 8th 2019

Next up is Godzilla: King Of Monsters

The cast and director take the stage to talk about the film and release the first trailer to the entire world.

Here is the first trailer for Godzilla: King Of Monsters

Here is the plot synopsis:“Following the global success of “Godzilla” and “Kong: Skull Island” comes the next chapter in Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Legendary Pictures’ cinematic MonsterVerse, an epic action adventure that pits Godzilla against some of the most popular monsters in pop culture history. The new story follows the heroic efforts of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch as its members face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. When these ancient super-species—thought to be mere myths—rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.”

Wow just wow, this film looks way better than Godzilla (2014). Millie is going to be a great actress. This trailer is so beautiful and chaotic at the same time. The monsters and CGI is groundbreaking and the music is perfect. This is the sequel Godzilla deserves and this could be the best Godzilla film ever made. Godzilla is back and he is better than ever! I am definitely seeing this film in IMAX. Godzilla is king of the monsters!

Godzilla: King Of The Monsters stomps it’s way into theaters on May 31rst, 2019

Next up is a slew of upcoming DCEU films starting off with Wonder Woman 1984

Patty Jenkins, Gal Gadot and Chris Pine join the stage to show off exclusive unfinished footage to the people at the panel.

Wonder Woman 1984 smashes into theaters on November 1rst, 2019

Next up is Shazam

The cast joins the stage and drops a huge SDCC suprise on us and DC fans.

WB surprises everyone as they unleash the first teaser trailer for Shazam.

This is why I love SDCC cause I love unexpected surprises like this!

Here is the teaser trailer for Shazam

Here is the plot synopsis: “We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Strong).

Don’t mess with a kid with crutches!

This looks way better than I thought it would be and I actually laughed multiple times. I love the suit and this feels just like Shazam in the comics. The scene where he realizes he is bulletproof and his transition from laughter to throwing the robbers out of the store is priceless. Zachery Levi is going to be a great Shazam and I love that these DC films have different tones and I want to see Shazam now. Looks like an enjoyable fun ride and I am excited for the bright and glorious future for DC. Looks like a whole lot of fun and definitely worth seeing.

2019 has 2 Captain Marvel movies and I can’t wait to see both of them.

Shazam shocks and zaps into theaters and IMAX on April 5th, 2019

Finally the DC film we all have waited for Aquaman

Jason Mamoa makes the best stage entrance of SDCC 2018

The cast joins the stage and finally the highly anticipated trailer for Aquaman gets released.

Here is the first trailer for Aquaman

Here is the plot synopsis: “From Warner Bros. Pictures and director James Wan comes an action-packed adventure that spans the vast, visually breathtaking underwater world of the seven seas, “Aquaman,” starring Jason Momoa in the title role. The film reveals the origin story of half-human, half-Atlantean Arthur Curry and takes him on the journey of his lifetime—one that will not only force him to face who he really is, but to discover if he is worthy of who he was born to be…a king.”

I don’t know why James Wan was so worried about showing this because this looks spectacular and James Wan just saved the DCEU. I didn’t like Justice League but one of the things I did like was Jason Momoa’s Aquaman and here he gets the origin movie he deserves. I literally screamed out loud while watching this trailer. The visuals are mindblowing as Atlantis looks just like the comics and Jason Momoa is the perfect Aquaman as he is funny and a badass at the same time. Mera looks great as well and Amber Heard is going to nail this world. The CGI and underwater sequences look revolutionary and groundbreaking and the CGI and how realistic it looks impresses me the most. The battle scenes are going to be epic and intense just like the comics like the trench sequence has a horror vibe and I love it. Black Manta looks badass and cool as well. Aquaman just win SDCC 2018 and I am seeing this opening night in IMAX. James Wan is making Aquaman comic accurate and I am here for it. I always had faith in James Wan and knew he was gonna make a great Aquaman movie and my trust in Wan has been rewarded with this glorious and beautiful trailer for what I think could be Wan’s best film he ever made and I can’t wait to see it.

No one thought Aquaman would be the one to save DC but after this trailer I think DC is gonna make a perfect comeback and stand face to face and be serious competition for Marvel.

Aquaman, Shazam, Joker and Wonder Woman 1984 are going to make DC great again and make all of us proud to be a DC fan.

Aquaman swims into theaters and IMAX on December 21st

That’s it for WB’s best SDCC panel they ever had and I am excited to see all of the films they showed off especially their DC films.

Warner Bros killed SDCC for the second year in a row and closed SDCC with a bang and I’m excited for all of their upcoming films and have so much hope in DC than I ever had before.

See you next year for more SDCC coverage!

Now if you’ll excuse me I am going to be rewatching these trailers again and again and having my mind blown repeatedly.

This is your host J-Mart saying goodbye to SDCC 2018 and hello to whatever SDCC  has in store for us next year.

Until next time this is J-Mart wishing everyone a wonderful day and a fantastic weekend.

Bye! 🙂
