New ‘Dundee’ Teaser Recruits Chris Hemsworth; Surely This is a Joke?

A few days ago a trailer for Dundee: The Son of a Legend Returns Home arrived out of nowhere starring Danny McBride. Now a new one has sprung up, this time with Chris Hemsworth in it. Surely Hollywood hasn’t yet mastered the art of keeping movie projects secret, so my best guess (one which a lot of people are also guessing) is that this is going to culminate in some absurd Super Bowl commericial.

Anyway, enjoy both trailers below.

Synopsis: Crocodile Dundee is back. Well, actually, he’s missing in the Outback. And the only person who might be able to find him is the loudmouthed American son no-one knew he had. Introducing Danny McBride as Brian Dundee. This son of a legend is forced to channel his Aussie roots as he embarks on the ultimate adventure in the land down under. It’s time to live up to the family name.

Do you think this is a real film coming this summer?

  • Poppity⛄

Yep, even Paul Hogan is on board to reprise his role. Scary-darey.

Yeah … I know. I don’t like the sarcastic attitude of McBride. It’s just … weird.

So, Crocodile Dundee was made in 1986. Danny McBride is 41 in real life, so he would have already been 9-10 by the time the fictional Mick Dundee first came to NYC. So, it’s obviously going to be passed off that he’s an illegimate child from a previous union or one-night stand. Perhaps sperm donation? I don’t know … they just shouldn’t go there.

  • If it’s real, well, these trailers suck, but I’m willing to give these guys a chance. They’re both very funny, even if they’ve been in some terrible movies.

  • *blank stare*

    Same, totally on board.

Pet theory on what happened to Paul Hogan though:

  • Sailor Monsoon

It’s not a joke and don’t call me Shirley

  • Joe Newman

I am totally cool with this being real.
