Official Cast for ‘The Mandalorian’ Revealed: Giancarlo Esposito, Werner Herzog & More Join the ‘Star Wars’ Universe

The official cast list for the first live-action Star Wars series has been revealed, and it features a few heavy-hitters.

Lucasfilm announced Pedro Pascal (Narcos) will headline The Mandalorian as a lone Mandalorian gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy. Joining him will be previously announced cast members Gina Carano (Deadpool), Carl Weathers (Predator), and Nick Nolte (Affliction). New cast members just announced today include Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad), Emily Swallow (Supernatural), Omid Abtahi (American Gods), and, possibly the greatest snag of them all, Werner Herzog (Grizzly Man).

Writer and Executive Producer Jon Favreau on the cast:

“We’re having a great time working with this incredibly talented group and excited for everyone to see what we’re up to.”

The series will be exclusive to Disney+, the House of Mouse streaming service set to launch late 2019.

What do you think of the cast? Personally, I think it’s better than anyone the Sequel Trilogy has managed to snag.
