Give your soul to the dance.
The upcoming Suspiria has been raising some positive eyebrows within the film community between the extremely graphic footage shown off at CinemaCon this year to its most recent trailer, which looks to be both paying homage to horror films of the 70’s while also going really out of its way to differentiate itself from the Dario Argento original. And with an official rating and running time announced (a rather nasty R rating + a 152 minute length), along with upcoming premiers at such upcoming film festivals like Venice, the hype is strong for Luca Guadagnino’s redo.
And to add to the hype, the film’s official – not to mention mischievous – Twitter page has released a new promotional image for the film. Take a look (though its a bit NSFW-ish).

The more I see of this remake, the more and more I like what I see. I must confess that I am not too keen on the original despite its visual beauty, so to hear that Guadagino is going out of his way to make this new film stand on its own two feet is wonderful news to me. For all we know, we could end up with this generation’s The Thing remake if the stars align properly. On top of that, I cannot help but find this image incredibly erotic to me.
Suspiria is scheduled to come out on November 2nd, 2018.
