Can’t keep an old dog down.
Clint Eastwood is one of our legendary actors and filmmakers with a career spanning extremely wide over the course of around 50 or so years. He’s also a guy who likes to doing things quick and cheap, hence why we’re seeing another film from him already with this thriller called The Mule, based off of real life drug mule Leo Sharp, who is currently the oldest living (albeit dead now) drug mule for the cartels. Take a look at the first trailer, which looks suitably intense and possibly even emotional.
Eastwood’s last film The 15:17 To Paris was largely seen as a risky but failure on his part (due to casting the actual soldiers in the events as themselves instead of actors), so this looks like a mighty fine course correction for the 88 year old legend. With an Oscar friendly release date, one of the writers of Gran Torino doing the script and a rock solid cast (of which includes Bradley Cooper, Michael Pena, Laurence Fishburne and Dianne Wiest), it looks like we got our selves a winner right here.
The Mule is scheduled to be released on December 14th, 2018.
