What do you guys think?

  • Sailor Monsoon

I can’t recommend her work enough

  • (looks at IMDB)
    I guess I have some homework…
… after a bunch of mostly shitty Christmas movies.

  • – Wow, looks incredible!
    – I’m still getting used to companies like Amazon making movies (fancy logo too).
    – What happened in that scene where Joaquin got “shot” in the face?

  • Sailor Monsoon

    Sad clown.
I didn’t like either film but he was phenomenal in both.

  • 🎅Poppity🌟

No, I sure haven’t. I don’t see many recent films, especially since moving to the countryside and pretty much only being able to rely on my own collection. :-/

  • Sailor Monsoon

Lynne Ramsay is one of the best directors working today

  • Sailor Monsoon

Somebody hasn’t seen inherent vice or the master…

  • *blank stare*

I can’t believe I forgot that. Walk the Line was damned good.

  • 🎅Poppity🌟

It’s good to see Joaquin back to quality roles again. He has a lot of talent but his personal life (added to that weird publicity stunt) got in the way of it for a long while.
I don’t think I’ll catch this one as it seems to dark and intense for my tastes but I hope it performs well for him. If he gets an Oscar, it will be for this and as a belated gesture for Walk the Line.

I am in with anything Joaquin Phoenix does and this looks great. Might be a cut and paste of Man on Fire but it looks awesome.

I got chills. Very high expectations.

Also I don’t think I’ve seen Phoenix since Signs.
